La Boheme (French)
This is my rendition, as an amateur, of one my favorite songs, growing up as I did with the nightlife of Montreal, my hometown. The present rendition is sung at the same quick cadence as the Charles Aznavour original (eg, at www.youtube.com According to the wikipedia, La Boheme: "is a song written by Jacques Plante and Armenian-French artist Charles Aznavour. It was first recorded by Aznavour in 1966. It is Aznavour's signature song, as well as one of the most popular French-language songs and a staple of French chanson." I trust that the French speaker will hear my integration of English, French Canadian, and international French accents, all of which are part of my having lived in Montreal and, for about a year, in Quebec city. I first learned French in the English school system in Quebec. French is my second best language, and Russian, which I learned in university, my third. I can also manage to some extent in a number of other languages, not all of which are Indo-European-based. I love all languages.
